Hong Kong Shopping
If shopping is what you're looking to do while on vacation, Hong Kong is the right place to be. This huge city has endless shopping opportunities, whether it be malls, galleries, boutiques, department stores, or open air markets. With all these shopping opportunities, you're sure to find the perfect gifts and souveniers for yourself and others.

Hong Kong offers high end, top notch products and souveniers of every kind. Women will love the gorgeous traditional silks and silk clothing, whether it be a kimono, blouse or dress. Traditional Chinese tableware and china is also a great buy, and the city offers endless choices of designs, colors and producers. Gold jewelry is also a popular purchase, as are handmade crafts and artwork. Hong Kong is also at the cutting edge of fashion, with designers from the world over selling their clothing in various department stores and boutiques.

The best open-air market in Hong Kong is Stanley Market, located on Stanley Market Road. This huge market sells everything and anything, from Chinese artwork to the most beautiful of silks and clothing. Stanley Market is also a great place to try out your bargaining skills and practice your Cantonese. While Yuen Po Street Bird Garden and Kowloon's flower market aren't the best place to pick up souveniers because of the nature of their wares, they are great places to wander around and enjoy the sights and sounds.

If fashion is your thing, head to the malls, department stores and boutiques that are located all over the city. Malls in Hong Kong tend to be very high-class, where the most current fashions can be found. There are also almost always fantastic dining areas located in the malls which make for a perfect stop to fuel up for more shopping! Department stores of worldwide origins make their home in this city. From Marks and Spencer's of England to more local favorites such as Wing On and Land Crawford, visitors are sure to find something that will suit their fancy. For the best of designer clothing, head to Pacific Place, one of Hong Kong's best malls.

For a day of wandering both outdoors and inside, try the Central Business District of Hong Kong. This area is full of shops, boutiques, department stores and malls for those looking for trendy fashion and souvenirs. For Antiques, wander down Hollywood Row, and check out Stanley Street if you need to pick up more film or get pictures developed. For those looking for bargains, try Li Yuen Street East and Li Yuen Street West, where a maze of stalls selling every product imaginable will be waiting for you.

For a more traditional day of shopping, head to the Western District. This beautiful Edwardian building is full of shops selling fabrics, antiques, Chinese medicine, stone carvings, and even dried seafood.
